Here is the text of an ad I have running on Craigslist. I have been advertising for work and these guys sent the following emails. They got me once a few months ago - I always answer and string them along. Last time a delivery notice from the Post Office arrived a few weeks later, but I didn't have the time to go see the money orders that were waiting.
On Craigslist:
This ad is a scam - they got me once before trying to send me money orders before the "computers" I was to work on "arrived". Wish we could get rid of this kind of scum from Craigslist. Here is the text of the email response:

All i need is you to remove Trojan virus that attacked all seven computers and re install avg free anti virus, And i want you to upgrade all computers from window vista Business to windows 7 professional. i have back up files for all computers,They have been attacked by various Trojan. Kindly advise the service charges for all the 7 laptop computers asap. All computers are the same model,i want AVG home edition free anti virus,I will be providing windows 7 Professional Cd and License keys. Looking forward to read from you. Regards. CEO

Install and test software on network and personal computer systems. Maintain hardware and software inventory libraries for user systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Skills and knowledge typically acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Processing or other computer field. 1 to 2 years experience supporting a personal computer environment. Proficiency in personal computer repair, hardware and software installations.

I will instruct one of our clients near you to mail to you the payment/your charges which will be in form of a certified cashier's check, please do get back to me with your name and mailing address as to been written on the payment and also the laptops will be mailed to you as soon as my shipping agent gets all of the faulty units together from our various offices. Also the payment will be in amount of your money for repairing the system and shipment fee to dispatch the devices down to your location and you will deduct your fee and have all the rest money sent to the shipping agent via western union.
